Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had spacious and well-appointed rooms with a really comfy bed, but they weren't always stocked up or replenished with essentials. The staff were really helpful, accommodating, and excellent. The location was excellent with a lovely atmosphere but a bit hot and stuffy at times. The dining experience was excellent with plentiful, excellent quality, and extremely tasty meals. Overall, a great choice but with some room for improvement.
The hotel is situated perfectly for weddings at Stanley House in an area of outstanding beauty with lovely walks and views. The rooms offer different sizes, ideal for single travelers or smaller adults, but be sure to request a larger COUNTY room for more space. The service is friendly and accommodating, and the dining experience, while tasty, may lack variety. A great stop-off location surrounded by hills with comfortable seating areas to relax.
My stay at the hotel was a delightful experience overall. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, equipped with all the essential amenities, including a flask of milk for tea or coffee. The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to assist. The location was convenient, although a bit noisy due to its proximity to the main road. The dining was a true highlight, with delicious meals, especially the remarkable hash browns. However, the chilly outdoor sitting area was a downside. Overall, a great value for money stay with a few minor inconveniences.
